Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ShutterProp Media, operating at shutterpropmedia.com, collects, uses, stores, and protects information in connection with our photography and videography services, our online video and merchandise store, and our use of third-party services including Google and YouTube. By using our site or services, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Who We Are

ShutterProp Media is an independent motorsports/event media business that captures event footage and makes it available to attendees and drivers for preview and purchase. We are the sole operator of this site and the associated YouTube channel used to host video previews.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Email address — collected at checkout so we can deliver your purchased video download links.
• Shipping details (name, postal address, phone) — collected only when you order physical merchandise, so the item can be produced and shipped.
• Order and preference information — the clips, bundles, or reels you select.

Information collected automatically

• Session data — a session cookie keeps your shopping cart working while you browse. It contains no personal identifiers beyond a random session ID.
• Basic server logs — standard web-server request logs used for security and troubleshooting.

Information we do NOT collect

• We do not collect or store your payment card details. Payments are processed entirely by PayPal.
• We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal information.

3. Our Use of YouTube and Google API Services

Our site includes an internal tool, used only by the site operator, that uploads our own event footage to our own YouTube channel as unlisted videos. These unlisted videos are then embedded on the site so customers can preview clips before purchase. This tool authenticates through Google’s OAuth using the youtube.upload scope.

• The Google/YouTube authorization is granted by the operator’s own Google account and is used solely to upload videos to the operator’s own channel.
• We do not request access to, collect, or store the Google account data of site visitors or customers.
• We store only the resulting YouTube video IDs so the correct preview can be embedded on a product page.
• The OAuth refresh token used by this tool is stored on our own server and is used only to obtain short-lived access tokens for uploading; it is never shared with any third party.

Our use of YouTube API Services is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can review and revoke any access an application has to your Google account at any time via the Google security settings page.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To deliver the video downloads you purchase, to the email address you provide.
• To fulfil merchandise orders (produced and shipped through our print partner, Printify).
• To process payments through PayPal.
• To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website.
• To respond to your support requests.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers needed to complete what you asked for:

• PayPal — to process your payment. See the PayPal Privacy Statement.
• Printify — to produce and ship merchandise orders (name and shipping address only). See the Printify Privacy Policy.
• Google / YouTube — for hosting our own preview videos, as described in Section 3.
• Legal — where required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Retention

We keep purchase records (email, the clips purchased, and order metadata) for as long as needed to provide access to your downloads, support your orders, and meet legal and accounting obligations. Shipping details are retained only as long as needed to fulfil and support your merchandise order. You may request deletion of your data as described below.

7. Data Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and customer records are stored on our own server with access limited to the operator. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

8. Your Rights & Choices

• You may request a copy of, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you.
• You may revoke this application’s access to any Google account via Google’s permissions page.
• You can decline non-essential cookies by adjusting your browser settings; note the shopping cart requires the session cookie to function.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above and post the updated version at this URL.
